In Chinese teaching, the modern reading teaching has been the focus of attention. The features of Chinese’s " The Unity of Instrumental and Humanity" determine the modern reading teaching not only language teaching objectives to guide students to accumulate knowledge and develop reading and writing skills, thinking skills training and other aspects of knowledge and ability, but also bears stimulating students’patriotism, the task of teaching students to cultivate aesthetic emotional attitudes and values and other aspects. This article aims to summarized and analyzed Yu Yi’s main content of modern reading teaching ideas, and with today’s modern reading teaching practice problems in mind, and find a solution to solve the problem of modern reading teaching countermeasures.The first chapter explores the main factors affecting her formation with the background in Yu Yi’s modern reading teaching concept.
