Abstract/Summary:
Children left behind is the product of the process of urbanization, the living, education, psychological and other issues have become the focus of attention the government and the community, but also education, sociology and other academic research hot spot. Participation in extracurricular sports has a unique value in promoting the healthy development of rural children left behind. Based on this, the paper establishes the status of rural children left behind to participate in extracurricular sports activities, analysis of this issue, in order to solve the left-behind children in rural areas of physical health problems, to provide some reference for the further development of social sports,and other related fields.this paper,takes rural left-behind children’s participation in extracurricular sports activities as the object of the research, mainly uses the questionnaire survey method, interview method, literature method, case analysis and other methods to analyze the left-behind child in Yuxi town about the understanding of participate in extracurricular sports activities, the degree of participation, the involvement of external support, and other influencing factors.this paper pointed out the problem of children participate in extracurricular sports activities in left-behind child, and puts forward some suggestions according to the actual situation.the results show that awareness of the lack of left-behind children have not realize the importance of extracurricular sports activities and have not enough awareness of the safety issues and movement warm-up activities.the overall level of participation of extracurricular sports activities in left-behind children’s extracurricular sports activities is still in a bad situation.which means the low frequency of participation, and most of them do not develop to participate in extracurricular sports activities; the external support in children participate in extracurricular sports activities do not have a positive situation. Specific performance in the local government’s support strength is limited, lack of the suitable policy; parents and guardians do not take their responsibilities, the lack of funds and supports; rural community sports atmosphere is not strong, therefore they can not contribute a lot; social groups do not pay much attention on the left behind children sports activities;left behind children participate in extracurricular sports activities affected more by the facilities, parents supports and other objective factors and the less influenced by physical illness, lack of interests and other subjective factors. In addition, the female relatives care type left-behind children and female left-behind children are more susceptible to objective factors.
