In September 2010, 98 mainland Tibetan vocational students entered into Jiangsu Wuzhong vocational secondary school. It is of great significance for Tibetan students to study in mainland. How to effectively improve the learning efficiency of Tibetan students and compile appropriate teaching materials is an important part. According to the compiling theory of teaching materials, together with a careful analysis of the characteristics of Tibetan students, the paper thinks that the compilation of Chinese school-based teaching materials in Tibetan classes should follow four basic principles: the principle of combination of tool and humanity; the principle of adjusting measures to local conditions and seeking truth from facts; the principle of combination of time and practicality and the principle of language learning in life, on the basis of which, it proposes the selective criteria of school-based teaching materials: articles of high quality; focusing on keeping pace with the times and the traditional culture; the absorption of foreign culture and having fun, etc. Finally, it puts forward its initial ideas and teaching suggestions on the compilation of school-based teaching materials, content elements and the material framework of Tibetan classes. I hope this study can actually promote the construction of Chinese teaching, and the improvement of teaching and learning efficiency in Tibetan classes.
