On the basis of finishing recent study about left-behind children, select left-behind junior high school student as my research object, research their parenting style, self-control ability, problem behaviors and the relationship among them, in Hechi city Dahua country of Guangxi province, randomly selected 900 junior high school students from grade7 to 9 as the research object, choosing the left-behind children caregivers’ parenting questionnaire, middle school students’ self-control ability questionnaire and middle school students’ self-reported questionnaire as measuring tool, research the basic situation of the left-behind junior high school students’ caregivers’ parenting style, self-control ability, problem behaviors and the relationship among the three variables. And try to discuss the intermediary role that self-control paly between the caregivers’ parenting style and problem behaviors.Using SPSS22.0 statistical software for data processing and analysis, we can draw some main conclusions as following:1. There are no significant difference between left-behind junior high school students and non left-behind junior high school students on caregivers’parenting style and self-control variables. On the shrinking factor of problem behavior, left-behind junior middle school students scored significantly higher than that of non left-behind junior middle school students.2. On caregivers’ parenting style, the differences of different gender in the physical care, psychological support, severe punishment, rejection and excessive interference are not significant in left-behind junior middle school students, on the preference factor, the girl felt a preference to be significantly higher than boys; There are no significant differences among different grades of junior middle school students in the factors of physical care, psychological support, severe punishment, rejection, and preference, in the factor of excessive interference, the difference is significant, from grade 7 to 9 score decreased; There are no significant differences between only child and non-only child in the factors of psychological support, severe punishment, rejection and excessive interference, the psychological support only child felt is significantly higher than the non-only child, the preference non-only child felt is significantly higher than only child.3. On self-control ability, the differences of different gender in the self-control for thinking and mood are not significant in left-behind junior middle school students, on the behavior of self-control, the boys are significantly lower than girls; There are significant differences among different grades in the self-control for thinking, behavior and emotion, students in grade 8 score the lowest in every dimension of self-control ability. There are no significant differences between only child and non-only child in self-control ability.4. On problem behaviors, left-behind junior high school students of different gender in attack, retreat, and nervous have no significant differences, but boys on learning maladjustment and indiscipline score significantly higher than girls, and girls on test anxiety score significantly higher than boys; There is no significant difference of left-behind junior high school students of different grades in retreat nervous and test anxiety; In learning maladjustment, aggressive behaviors and indiscipline, students in grade 8 score highest. There are no significant differences between only child and non-only child in problem behaviors.5. Left-behind junior high school students’ caregivers psychological support was positively related to the level of self-control ability and negatively correlated with problem behaviors; Severe punishment, rejection, preference were negatively related to the level of self-control and positively correlated with problem behaviors. The self-control ability of left-behind junior high school students were negatively correlated with problem behaviors.6. Self-control plays total intermediary effect between psychological support, severe punishment and problem behaviors; In the act of refuse, preference and problems has partial intermediary effect, takes the total effect of 53.47% and 47.70% respectively.
