This thesis is about the theoretical and empirical research on senior high students’ mathematical operation ability.Mathematics education in our country has always attached importance to the cultivation of student’s mathematical operation ability. After the new curriculum reform, great changes have taken place in some common and basic knowledge on the teaching of operating ability, which requires the mathematical instructors should timely and accurately grasp the cultivation of high school math ability to adapt to the development of the new situation. Based on the analysis of theory and practice background, this research will be carried out revolving around the following three problems:(1)The current situation of senior high students’ mathematical operation ability;(2)Factors affecting the development of high school students’ mathematical operation ability;(3)How to improve their mathematical operation ability.On account of what is mentioned above, this research adopts the combination of qualitative and quantitative methods to collect data. The research is mainly divided into three stages:(l) According to the ideas of the-literature review and theoretical research framework, starting with personal teaching practice, we successfully work out the test papers and questionnaires for senior high students’ mathematical operation ability;(2)120 subjects are surveyed (100 effective samples) to-receive test papers;(3)Collect data, analyze the quantitative data and make theoretical research to find the factors affecting high school students mathematical operation ability, and finally provide countermeasures of cultivating the ability of high school students’ mathematical operation.The study found that the factors affecting the development of high school students’ mathematical operation ability level mainly include the following ones:(1) The basic knowledge and basic methods. Students’ mastery of basic knowledge and basic methods influence the development of computing power; (2) The mathematics thinking method. Mathematics thinking method plays an important role in mathematics, students’ ignorance of the mathematics thinking method greatly influence their mathematical operation ability;(3) Students mathematics study of non-intelligence factors.Students1 mathematics learning habits and their psychological quality influence the development of computing power. (4) The teacher’s teaching method. Traditional teaching idea and the old teaching method influence the development of students’ mathematical operation ability.The enlightenment’s for mathematics teachers or mathematics instructors:(1) Attach great importance to the instruction of basic knowledge and basic skills, including consolidating the learning of the concept, basic formula, theorem and law and strengthening the training of the basic methods and skills; (2) Lay emphasis on the cultivation of mathematical thinking method. Firstly we should be based on textbooks, from which we can fully tap mathematical thinking method, secondly, we should optimize teaching and repeatedly apply mathematical thinking method in the problem solving; (3)Pay more attention to the influence of non-intelligence factors in teaching. We can develop students’ interest in learning mathematics and good learning habits and improve their operation will and psychological qualities.
