Conics,as one of the most important sections of mathematic learning in senior high schools, contains vital mathematical ideas and methods. After a new round of teaching reform, conics-related teaching period has been shortened, but the teaching contents increased. Furthermore, since the examination of conics contains a lot of relevant knowledge, the students would have many troubles during their learning process, which hinders the students from solving the conics-related problems.However, conics-related knowledge covers a great part of the college entrance examination from year to year and is widely used in practical manufacture as well as science and technology. As a result, we are required to pay more attention to and face up to this issue and pursue a workable solution to resolve the problems the students encounters during the learning process, to make the students master conics knowledge well and lay a foundation for the further learning of the relevant fields.Based on the related research results, this study conducts questionnaires to survey senior high school teachers and students and analyze the obtained data. This study employs both quantitative and qualitative methods to research the conics-related problems, combined with the actual problems in the teachers’ teaching process and students’ learning process, to explore reasonable measures to address high school students in terms of conic learning difficulties.
