A Study On Status And Measures Of Undergraduate Students’ Deological And Political Education Under New Media Circumstances

With the development of China’s socialist market economy, the political and ideological education of our university students has gradually become one of the key issues and hot topics in the domain of higher education.The rapid development of information technology is improving the application of the new media technology to various aspects of higher education. College students, as an important and young force of the new media technology and deeply influenced by contemporary information technology, are regarding the new media not simply as a tool for communication and exchange, but also as an essential part of their life. Wide popularization and application of new media in Chinese universities is not only a channel for acquiring new knowledge, but also an important way to strengthen students’ interpersonal communication and information exchange. Under the new situation, the wide spread and application of new media has of course created a number of opportunities to political and ideological education of our university students, while at the same time it has to face some serious challenges. In this situation, it is inevitable that the mental health of college students will cause some negative effects.
