Present Utilitarianism Value Situation, Causes And Countermeasures Of The College Students In Modern Society

Currently, our country’s economic society is in a critical period of reform transformation, which affects the ideological field. With the development of the technology of Internet and the improvement of social openness, there is an constantly increasing communication of culture and ideas across countries, which leads to various values. Utilitarianism is spreading under this environment, which has intensified society’s secularization tendency and led to the utilitarianism value of contemporary college students. It mainly shows selfishness, forgetting friendship for profit, being eager for quick success, etc. At present, how to lead students to take a rational look at the utilitarianism and set up correct viewpoint of justice and benefits has become a big problem in modern value education.On the basis of the previous studies and beginning with the analysis of the nature of utilitarianism, this thesis will take contemporary college students as the research subject and use questionnaire method to investigate the current utilitarianism value situation of contemporary college students. Then, the reasons are analyzed and the corresponding countermeasures and suggestions are put forward on the basis of the survey results. The whole thesis is divided into six parts. The first part of the thesis is the introduction, which mainly introduces the research background, research significance, previous studies at home and abroad, research procedure, research method, creative points and limitations. The second part includes related conceptions and theoretical foundations, which mainly discuss the utilitarianism value and related theoretical definitions. The third part is about analysis of the current situation, which makes a analysis and summarizes the utilitarianism value of modern college students combining with the questionnaire from five aspects. The forth part is the cause analysis, which has analyzed the reasons of utilitarianism value of college students in modern society from the external and internal factors based on the sufficient knowledge. The fifth part is the countermeasures which contain the suggestions from the perspective of the country, the society, the family, and individuals, striving to provide reference for establishing a positive and healthy value to the contemporary college students. The last part is the conclusion.
