In the process of chemistry learning in the middle school, it is unavoidable that the students may give wrong solutions to some problems. It is important to deal with these errors as they are closely related to promotion of the students’ performance. The errors reflect directly the existing problems of the students on understanding, mastering, and using of chemical knowledge. On the one hand, students are required to play subjective initiative and enthusiasm in the face of these problems. On the other hand, the teachers should supply the students with proper and correct guidance, making full use of the error resources. Thus, it can improve the students’ ability of learning and comprehensive application. The establishment of the error booklet is the key to the whole process. Therefore, it is necessary to master the scientific method for establishing the error booklet.With the efforts of teachers and students, establishing error booklet, analyzing the causes of the errors, training the students’ reflective thinking and remedying the defects of chemical knowledge can improve the ability of thinking and problem solving. Moreover, to update timely, adjust and relearn the error booklet is essential and necessary to play its benefits. The effective management and reasonable use of the error booklet play great role in the process of chemical education, not only in the teachers’ teaching, but also in the students’ learning.Aimed at the establish, manage and use of the errors in chemistry, based on analyzing the error booklet and the functions of managing the errors, this dissertation investigated the students’ attitude and understanding of the errors, and also the way to deal with the errors by combining the questionnaire survey method and analysis method. Based on the above research, some suggestions were given from the perspective of both student learning and teacher teaching. The present dissertation mainly include the following four aspects:Part one: The theme of this dissertation was proposed in this section, which include the background and significance of the present study, the current research status of the reasons lead to the wrong solutions, the establish of the error booklet as well as its management. We presented the main research contents and research methods of this dissertation by combining with the study on chemistry errors in middle school.Part two: In view of the concept of the error booklet and the error management, a comprehensive introduction was launched, and the function and value of the error booklet were further described.Part three: The students’ understanding of the errors types in the middle school, the reasons lead to the wrong solutions, as well as their attitude on the errors were investigated, analyzed, and summarized by using the method of questionnaire survey, understood the current status of the middle school students utilizing of the error resources. Moreover, based on the contrastive experiment, the effects of using the error booklet for different classes were analyzed, the relationship between the use of chemical error booklet and the chemical performance were further explained.Part four: Based on the analysis of the survey, the scientific establishment, effective management, and proper use of the error booklet were stated in detail. In addition, aiming at the shortage and use of chemistry wrong topics, some possible improvement strategies were proposed in the present dissertation.
