| In the process of new urbanization,the disabled elderly as a vulnerable group have dual attributes of elderly and disabled.On the one hand,they face problems because of elderly and disabled,on the other hand,they face adaptability problems because of new urbanization.So they need attention of social from all walks of life,including social work.This paper mainly studies the social work intervention in the disabled elderly group under the background of new urbanization,namely studies the field and effectiveness and development space of social work intervention in the disabled elderly group.The author interviews with the disabled elderly from K community in Shandong Province by length interview method. Analyzing the interview data sorting summary,the author found that the disabled senior face problems in health,emotional,cultural entertainment,social communication and social security and public services,so they need social work intervention.Based on the needs assessment and the activity theory,the author set goals and plan,and intervene by the group work to the 10 elderly persons with disabilities.The author review and analyze the method,the process and social worker of group work,found that the group work as a method of social work is applicable and effective.The group provide platform of social interaction for the elderly with disabilities, helping them establish the right attitude to face their situation, enhancing their sense of value and achievement,exploring their potential and ability.This study found that,K community lack of public service and social work service in the process of new urbanization.Social work should broaden the scope of its service objects,and help the elderly people with disabilities receive more attention and support.In addition,social work intervention on service object should reference the wisdom service object summarized,to improve the social work service,to widen the social work service field and the future development of space. |
