Composition teaching occupies a significant position in primary Chinese teaching.Recent years, new curriculum reform has provided an direction in which composition teaching can develops. Situational experience teachings applied in composition classes received little effects, and there are still many problems in terms of primary composition teachings which remain to be settled. Students are afraid of writing and have no motivation of composition; they cannot establish connection between life situations and their inner world; they lack real feelings and have low expression ability.Art situation creating is used in primary Chinese composition classes to stimulate students’ imagination and feelings through students’ direct feelings of art situations. It can establish theme activities between art products and composition teaching, which can help students to use multi-senses to conduct emotional communication with art products.When enriching students’ life experience, Art situation creating in this way can also lead students to carry out composition at the same time. With action research method,interview, literature study as the main approaches, this article confirms the necessity of the application of art situation creating in primary composition teaching practice and the value of that in composition teaching research. The confirmation is based on the combined consideration of connotation of art situation creating and analysis of present overseas and domestic research of it; it is also based on the investigation and analysis of primary Chinese composition teaching reality. With virtual teaching samples as the study material, this article also illustrates the action strategies and principles of the adoption of art situation creating in primary Chinese composition teaching. Through the summary of the procedure and effects of the practice of art situation creating, the article also gives analysis regarding the practice’s workability and limitation.The most significant part of this study lie in chapter three and chapter four, which illustrates the teaching principle and strategies regarding applying art situation creating into primary Chinese composition teaching. Those two chapters also give analysis anddiscussion referring to the practice procedure, effect, experience and implications. To verify the practice effects of the employment of art situation creating method, the author of this paper also makes investigations, interview and evaluations of the school ’ s teachers and students. This research emphasizes on applicability and workability so it displays the specific procedures and principles of how the art situation creating is employed, in hope of providing effective reference for primary Chinese composition teachings, promoting the teaching level and thereby enrich primary composition teaching theory.
