This study firstlyexplores the deep connotation of observation ability by sorting out the literature,and then 200 junior middle school students and 50 teachers from two ordinary junior middle schools in G County of Tianshui City were investigated by questionnaire,and 21 teachers were interviewed in depth,summarizes the current situation and existing problems of the cultivation of students' observation ability in junior middle school composition teaching.Questionnaire results show that students still like composition subjects,with68.75% of them preferring it;In the last survey,58.32% of the students thought they did not grasp the observation method,and more than half of the students did not grasp the observation method.Based on the observation of data,it was found that the students' writing observation ability was insufficient in the process of composition teaching.Through the survey of teachers and interviews with 21 teachers,it is found that most teachers obviously lack the teaching of students' ability to observe in their compositions,however,teachers are eager to improve students' writing performance through the cultivation of observation ability.In response to the problems and reasons in the cultivation of students' observation ability in junior middle school composition teaching,the researchers selected a junior middle school taught by G County as a research site,where was carried out for a long semester of action research.According to the spiral cycle model of "Plan-Action-Observation-Reflection",the study carried out two rounds of improvement actions.After two rounds of improvement actions,in view of the problems found,the researcher put forward some feasible suggestions for himself teaching practice,enriching the action research of improving junior high school writing level by cultivating students' observation ability.
