| Over the past 40 years of reform and opening up, remarkable achievements have been made in the development of China’s economy and society. Meanwhile, the society has been extending and transforming from "survival" to "developmental", so that the masses put forward higher standard of requirements on education, culture, health care and other public services, especially on diverse, high-quality education and education fairness. They not only hope to find a school to study in, at the same time, they show more expectations on finding a good school. Although the party and the government always attach great importance to the compulsory education and consider promoting education fairness as a basic national policy on education, bringing substantive results in education fairness, due to the education gap among urban and rural areas, different regions and schools formed by history, in the new stage of development, compared with people’s demand, especially the development of rural compulsory education is not in harmony with peasants’ growing demand for education and the requirements economic and social development in rural areas. Problems as the congenital deficiency and the acquired disorders of contradiction of compulsory education in rural areas, inequality and imperfection of basic public services of education in reality have become hot topics arousing people’s increasing concern. How to solve problems existing in the rural area compulsory education development, promote fair development of education, improve the quality of education, promote the comprehensive development is a long and arduous task. In order to promote compulsory education to attain comprehensive, coordinated and sustainable development, the status of rural compulsory education calls for harmonious education.The whole thesis is divided into six chapters. The first chapter is the introduction, which gives a general introduction about the background of selecting the topic, the purpose and significance of the thesis, the domestic and international research trends, research content, research ideas and methods, and the characteristic and innovation of the thesis.The second chapter is to define the relevant concepts and interpret the theoretical basis of harmonious development of compulsory education. It gives an interpretation of the connotation of harmonious development of compulsory education and an elaboration of the theoretical basis of harmonious development of compulsory education from the perspective of the theory of people’s all-round development, educational system theory and public products theory. It makes an analysis of basic requirements of harmonious development of compulsory education during the period of thirteenth five year plan, laying the groundwork for the empirical research. The third chapter mainly states the status of harmonious development of compulsory education in Yian District Tongling City. It introduces and analyzes the development of compulsory education in Yian District as well as the measures and achievements of promoting harmonious development from the perspective of harmonious development of compulsory education according to investigation in the region by way of empirical research. In the fourth chapter, the writer points out the problems existing in the promotion of harmonious development of compulsory education in Yian District on the basis of investigation. In the fifth chapter, the writer analyzes the causes of the problems of the non harmonious development of compulsory education in Yian District.The sixth chapter is the countermeasure thinking about promoting harmonious development of rural compulsory education. |
