With the increasing demand for education equity and quality edu cation, teachers’ professional development has been paid more and more attention to by schools and society. Promoting the professional development of teachers through in-service teacher training is gradually becoming the focus of the work and research of educational system. During the "Twelfth Five Year Plan", Baoshan District, where the author lives, merged Teachers Training Section into Teaching &Research Office, which bears the dual function of teaching and training, opens the training mode of “The Intergration of Research & Training”. In the face of "12th Five-Year" teacher training tasks, the author’s Teaching &Research Office has conducted practical research on how to play the "1+1>2" effect in the training.Through the study of documents,from the five aspects of the teachers’ training and teaching content, mode, management, evaluation and results, the author had a preliminary understanding of the current situation of the development of teacher training. Through questionnaires and interviews with some teachers, the author had a general idea of the teachers training status before the "12th Five-Year", and found a series of problems.For example, the content of training was inconsistent with the demand of teachers; the limited and out-dated training methods; superficial training management; ineffective training evaluation and poor training effect. What’s more, teacher training is not included in the credits and the research time is not sufficient. He also analyzed the subjective and objective causes of the current situation such as unscientific training system, out-dated ideas, trainers’ lack of practical experience, the lack of theoretical support, and non-standardized training evaluation and management. During the "Twelfth Five Year Plan" the author’s office actively explored the “The Intergration of Research & Training ". Through two rounds of teacher training practice, he explored the effectiveness of this training mode in the subject Biology. They are trying to find the theoretical basis of “The Intergration of Research & Training ", which can enhance the effectiveness of teacher training, the training elements and procedures, and the evaluation table of training quality.Through two rounds of practical research, the author found that the effective “ Intergration of Research and Training” needs to fill the following requirements:the content can meet the demands of teachers; methods are suitable for evaluation of teaching practice; the management can follow the law of teaching; the evaluation can focus on motivation; the assessment highlights two-way feedback. It calls for the emphasis on the need analysis, system design, participation, appropriate forms, team collaboration, sharing of resources, task following, process management and evaluation emphasis which can enhance the effectiveness of teachers training. Through the training quality evaluation table the quality of teacher training quality can be ensured. Besides, it is found that the teacher training is shifting toward “competency-based, subject integration, and demand-driving”.
