Job burnout is a research field which has been paid more and more attention in the rapidly developing society. The study of job burnout was first carried out by the service industry practitioners in foreign countries. After relative research on job turnout was introduced to our country, professional researchers especially social workers pay more attention to the study of job burnout in the field of service. During the internship of children Welfare Institution in C City, I learned the job burnout of the nurse group. Therefore, for the demand of improving the service quality of C City social welfare institute and changing negative state of work of the nurse group, I decided to use group work practice as the intervention method based on preliminary survey. Service plan is made according to the needs assessment and intervention on nurse job burnout problem starts there. Which ultimately makes the group of nurses job burnout situation eased. While observing the working environment of nurses, it’s important to know if there are signs of job turnout in everyday performance of the nurse. After that based on literature I read, Chinese Burnout Questionnaire Survey is used to research the job turnout problem. Then the data gathered from questionnaire was analyzed and it appears that there is a mild burnout situation among nurses. For welfare homes for children where the quality of service is always the highest demand, the working attitude and performance of nurse group who serves children directly affects the service quality seriously. At the same time, job burnout have negative effects on nurses’ emotions too. So, it is very important to intervene in the job burnout of nurses. After doing research work, analyzing influencing factors and demand assessment and other preparatory work, taking the age characteristics of the team members, work characteristics, needs and other factors into comprehensive consideration, the group intervention plan was developed. This plan use the relaxation skills training, recreational activities, group discussion and other forms to help the nurse to release pressure and alleviate the sense of emotional exhaustion, in the group a mutual support network was also established, the nurse team get mutual support, collective cohesion was fostered, and the team continues to alleviate burnout even after the group session ends, improve the overall work efficiency and the working state, thus improving the quality of service.Group work intervention proved to be effective after evaluation and it gained great satisfaction from team members, reached a preliminary target group. After mutual support network successfully established, the problems encountered by the team members in the follow-up work to can be solved and relieved in group and crew are able to united facing problems. Mutual support network in the joint effects of the team members can be maintained, and plays the role of mutual assistance. The research result of group work intervened in job turnout creatively changed the communication pattern of the nurse who don’t usually contact with each other. The nurse group realized their negative attitude towards job burnout and it was improved during group work.During the process of intervention work, the first step is to find the needs assessment, which is also key to make the group work effective. The atmosphere built during the sessions concerns the the performance of team members and trust among them, grasp of the professional relationship during the practice is also of deep ethic value. Overall, the content of this study, the effectiveness of the group work involved in the job burnout of nurses show that the theoretical study has a certain reference value and can be prepared for knowledge transfer. The access to the experience has a certain practical significance, reflected in the grasp of the professional relationship and the success of creating helpful atmosphere during the process and other aspects. In addition, the most important significance is that the working performance of nurse groups has been improved, the nurse became more positive and enthusiastic, which leads to better service quality. And the study also breaks the isolated states of the nurse group under current bureaucracy mode of welfare institution. The introduction of social work services in the C Welfare Institution is a major breakthrough in welfare services, at the same time, also represents the attention drawn to the nurse group from the welfare community even the whole country.
