The Children Welfare House is an institution of public character to provide services for the disabled children and orphans. Out of the specialty of the service objects, staffs in the House often suffer pressure and face all kinds of predicament including job burnout, which not only affects the their motivation and lowers their efficiency, and also does harm to the children as well as the service level. Therefore, it is very necessary to explore the ways of relieving the job burnout. This paper taking the Children Social Welfare House in Nanjing as an example, examines the job burnout of the staffs there, which finds that there are some problems relating to the job burnout and individually varies a lot. Starting from the factors of the job burnout, it tries to apply the theory of sociology and psychology as well as the concept in the group work, that is under the theory of group dynamics and system theory, using the "group dynamics" formed by the Static and dynamic interaction to systematically intervene the problem. It demonstrates that social work could relieve the job burnout effectively and it is good for staffs to obtain the feel of belongings, sense of security and develop their ability to empower them to deal with the anxiety in the work and improve their self-efficiency to have more self esteem, which can help them deal with the anxiety and reduce the pressure in turn. The author hope that this study could further the research on relieving the job burnout and broaden the application of group work in social work.
