In secondary school history classroom, it is a common concern of Chinese and foreign history teachers on how to teach those theoretically sophisticated and dreary contents and how to give a successful lecture. With the deepening development of the new curriculum reform in our country, the new teaching theories aiming to solve these problems, new teaching methods and teaching means began to emerge. At this point, "artificial materials" also was born. on the one hand, some people think it stimulates the learning interest, makes history class so lively, interesting and efficient as to be highly respected. on the other hand, some people think that it has violated the most basic features of history ——truth——and is thus be criticized.How to apprise this "historical materials" ?How to use "historical materials" in secondary school? These are worthy of our research.In this paper, there are four parts to discuss and study "artificial history" in history teaching in secondary schools. The first part introduces the background of "artificial materials", summarizes the controversy among history teachers on the teaching of "artificial materials", and learns of the view of the history education circle, the present domestic and foreign researches and the deficiencies of previous researches and the innovations of this article. The second part introduces the theory of "artificial materials" teaching research, explains the concept of "artificial materials" and "artificial materials" in the teaching of theoretical basis in order to delimit the scope of later part provide basis for later analysis and related thesis. the third part has expounded the attitude of this paper to the teaching of "artificial history", has analyzed "artificial materials" teaching cases of success and gives enlightenment and reference to other history teachers. The fourth part has studied the applying strategies of "artificial history" in secondary school, including the principle of application, applying scope and things worthy of attention, hoping to contributing to the normative use of "artificial" historical data in secondary school history teaching.
