With the rapid development of information technology, education of all countries are struggling with modern information technology integration, resulting in the teaching model is becoming more and more diverse, which of the flipped classroom in the United States has attracted much attention, and became popular in the world. Flipped classroom is a kind of brand-new teaching mode, Its process can be summarized into four stages:the preparation stage, pre class autonomous learning stage, the stage of classroom knowledge internalization and the extension stage after class. Flipped classroom has six characteristics:the reconstruction of teaching structure, the changing role of teachers and students, the networked teaching environment, lets the student autonomous Learning, increases the learning of interaction, enhances the communication between teachers and parents.High school geography teaching to implement the flipped classroom has strong advantages:enhance high school students’cognitive and autonomous learning ability; Strong knowledge of systemic; High school geography teachers’practice of the new concept of high enthusiasm; the rapid development and popularization of information technology. But there are many challenges in the implementation of the flipped classroom, such as teachers and students, teaching management and evaluation, teaching resources and environment.According to the new course reform idea, mastery learning theory, constructivism theory and humanistic theory, the use of literature analysis method, questionnaire survey method and comparative method of three kinds of research methods research, we found the flipped classroom in high school geography teaching practice that there are many problems, such as teachers’awareness of the flipped classroom is not profound and the participation is not high, network teaching equipment is imperfect, teachers’teaching ideas need to be updated, the curriculum arrangement of the school and the class scale is not reasonable. In view of these problems, the education department, schools, teachers and so on need to take some countermeasures:the first, establish the concept of modern education, strengthen the implement of the flipped classroom teaching mode; the second, improve information technology equipment, ensure smooth channels of information resources of network; the third, strengthen the training of information technology, improve the information literacy of teachers; the fourth, scientific arrangement of courses, the formation of a reasonable class size.My research of the flipped classroom hope can help high school geography teachers to understand the basic situation of the flipped classroom, change the idea of teaching, enhance students’comprehensive quality, and provide reference for the flipped classroom teaching mode in high school geography teaching.
