In 2001, with the start of a new round of basic education curriculum reform, China’s basic education began to shift from the exam-oriented education to quality-oriented education. The purpose of high school physics teaching is no longer to enhance the students’ ability of taking exams, but to enable students to continue scientific research and adapt to modern life better by culturing literacy and capacity in physics research. High school physics syllabus clears that one of the purposes of high school physics teaching is to train the students’ experimental ability, scientific thinking ability and the ability to analyze and solve problems. Among them, the experimental ability should be in the first place.But we lack the cultivation and emphasis on the students’ experimental ability. Shandong college entrance physical examination is divided into three types:choices, experiments and calculation problems. The choices and calculations are mainly to test the students’ scientific thinking ability and the ability to analyze and solve problems. Experimental problem can best embody the students’ mastery degree in experimental ability. Through analyzing and exploring the college entrance examination questions, and investigating students and teachers, I found that the score of the experiment is generally low and it’s very difficult to be promoted. This shows that we still have problems in cultivating students’ ability in physical experiments.In order to clarify the problem in the cultivation of students’ physical experiment ability, this thesis made a systematic study on physical experiments presented in Shandong college entrance examination from 2007 to 2014. This shows the important position of the experimental questions and the characteristics of the college entrance examination in two aspects:knowledge and ability. Although we have already known the characteristics of the college entrance examination in testing students’ experimental ability, how the students’ experimental ability is unknown. So a test about physical experiments is designed for the high school students. Through statistical analysis of test scores, the thesis found the difference of students’ master degree in experimental ability and thus we know the deficiencies in developing students’ physical experiment ability.According to this, the purpose of this thesis is to find out the problems of physical experiment teaching in the cultivation of experimental ability through the research on the present situation of the cultivation of high school students’ experimental ability, and is to propose an effective method to improve students’ experimental ability. Although there are many reasons for the lack of students’ physical ability, but the responsibility of the current physics experiment teaching mode can not be avoided. So I put forward my own views on the reform of physical experiment teaching mode at last. Through this article, we can help students develop good scientific literacy, enhance their ability of carrying out physics experiment and provide a theoretical basis for improving the effectiveness of physical experiment teaching.The innovation of this thesis is to find out the problems of cultivating students’ experimental ability with the research of the physical experiment of college entrance examination as a breakthrough, and to find methods to improve the students’ experimental ability with the test for the students’ as the research tools. Although this thesis is from the college entrance examination, but does not serve it. In contrast, the college entrance examination should provide better serve for the physical experimental teaching, promote the development of students in all aspects, and realize the sustainable development of high school education.
