China has put forward a new music education concept in 2011, which requires music education should face to all the students. Therefore, we should hold same education goals when facing every student. Most music education research of Wuhan concentrate in center area (such as Wuchang District, Hongshan District, Jiangan District, Qiaokou District, etc. and most concentrated in Wuchang District), and there’s less music education research of far city areas and outskirts. It is very necessary to do far city areas music education research, to strive for balanced development of the education.Wuhan is a city with strong cultural atmosphere, and it keeps making progress and improvement in education. The far city area of Wuhan is the area between center area and outskirts, it belongs to center area but its geographical position is the edge of center area and very close to outskirts. From every aspect of music education, the junior high schools of far city area not as good as the junior high schools of center area, but better than the junior high schools of outskirts in the true sense. This paper uses music education of far city area junior high school as the object of research, citing the Caijiawan junior high school (which author teach in) in such a typical case. The author made a more comprehensive and systemic investigation research and theoretical analysis by using investigation, interviewing, questionnaire, statistical analysising, document researching and some other methods, and find out the difference of junior high school music education between center area and far city area, sum up the characteristic of junior high school music education that should be concerned, and make full use of favorable conditions to progress the music education activity better.The first part of this paper is introduction, which describe the whole research. This part clarify the paper’s aim and meaning, points out the research method and the progress of this research. The second part is summarize of far city area junior high school music education research’s present situation. In this part, author firstly worked out the far city area junior high school music education research’s achievements of these years, then investigate the far city area junior high school music education by interviewing. The third part of this paper is the questionnaire and result of far city area junior high school music education. This part of the "Wuhan City, far from the city junior high school music education Status Questionnaire" data for statistical analysis, summed up the characteristics of junior high school music education status quo far from urban areas, and proposed to increase the Reform and Development of Wuhan City, far from the city junior high school music education. The fourth chapter is the conclusion. This part of the study were summarized system, and proposes the shortcomings and areas for improvement exist.
