Research On Edutainment In Senior High School Chinese Teaching

"Edutainment", by definition, combines teaching with entertainment, which changes the passive state of the current high school students learning the Chinese language, raise students’consciousness in Chinese-learning, and allow students to actively and consciously learn the language; as a result, a solid foundation will be laid for their lifelong development. This essay firstly focuses on a brief overview of the nature and characteristics of "edutainment". Then, the essay presents an idea that senior high school Chinese teaching-and-learning should be carried out firmly on the "edutainment" road by investigating and analyzing the present situation of high school Chinese teaching. Finally, the essay puts forward an effective solution strategy,3 aspects included. Aspect 1: Teachers should do their part in understanding students’needs through the transformation in the fixed perspectives, to a further degree, to make themselves recognized among students. Aspect 2:Teachers should do their part in optimizing class teaching with their own wisdom and erudition, putting students’cognition and zeal for knowledge in the first place. By interactive discussion, the main stage of Chinese teaching-and-learning---class teaching--- will be taken full advantage of. Aspect 3:Teachers should do their part in employing various teaching methods according to different teaching contents so as to enrich students’learning. In a relaxed atmosphere, students will as well get trained to learn Chinese better. The author of this essay hopes to optimize the routine teaching strategy in Chinese teaching in senior high school with the aid of the conclusion of the study, implementing the ideologies and practice of "edutainment", to make Chinese teaching welcomed by students, who will improve their ability of Chinese in a relaxed atmosphere. To make it best, students will further appreciate nation’s language to enhance cultural identity.
