"Seconds" elementary school mathematics in the field of "number and algebra" is one of the contents of the "time", belong to the common quantity, is the students to understand "with" after another to learn the contents of the unit of time. Obligation of elementary school mathematics teaching in China stage would separate into a class, the topic of other countries in the elementary school mathematics teaching involves the teaching content.The author on the content, in order to two different area of the city school students as the object, the "second" student learning knowledge related knowledge. Through the survey found that students to estimate the correct time, the correct pronunciation clockface content related to master, and different schools use different version there are differences in the teaching material of the student to grasp the understanding the situation. Then around different countries, different versions of the teaching material has carried on the comparative study; To use different versions of the teaching material, under the guidance of different teaching goal has carried on the different teaching plan design; After teaching and implementation of the design, measurement, to factors affecting the understanding of the "second" teaching activities were studied. Through the study found that:Teaching material to write on the understanding of the "second" teaching has a great influence. These effects in writing style and content Range, presentation, the content of the classroom activities, etc., using different versions of teaching materials for teaching, there are differences in students’ learning situation.Different teaching design is adopted to improve the teaching of "seconds" teaching activities have a great influence. Reflect the main factors affecting the teaching effect including the determination of the teaching goal, teaching emphasis and difficulty of different, the selection of teaching material, teaching organization mode difference, etc., using different teaching design to teaching, there are differences in students’ learning situation.Through this research, it is recommended that a line of teachers in the understanding of the "second", can take advantage of the characteristics of the materials used and combined with the characteristics of the other version teaching material design scheme for teaching, classroom activities to fully experience, close to the student life and have fun.
