The meaning of the study is to try to give the answers to the questions which the teachers and students are not sure. And they can treat the answers as the strategies for their study. During the whole study,there are four main methods being used. They are literature态questionnaire态interview and observation in the classroom.) And there are three key parts in the study. The first one is to analyze the situations and questions of the Junior High School English learning in School A. They have known something about the cooperative learning. And they have made some achievements about developing groups and the kinds of students. The writer made the grade which the writer is in as the object of study. And then, the writer choose about 10 students in each class to investigate. The number is about 120 in all. After that, writer also does some research in class. According to the result, the ability of independent study is poor. And in order to finish the activities, the teachers and students have some much more to do. For the homework, both of them are powerless. The second one is to find out the reasons according to the result. The reasons are: not preparing well enough for cooperative learning; the poor management in class; being short of self-consciousness; too much homework and work for teachers and students. At last, here are the strategies:1. integrate teaching materials and prepare well enough for classes.2.use the textbooks and exercise books effectively.3.finish the dictation and recitation by working in groups.4.choose and train the English monitors and leaders.
