Junior middle school history is scheduling, systemic strong humanities, which contains thousands of years of history, ancient and modern, home and abroad knowledge. Junior high school students’ logic thinking ability is in the preliminary stage of development, for the complicated and vast knowledge, they are often confused. Therefore, teachers must be good at guiding students to master historical development clues to find out the various relationships among different knowledge points.Combined with the author’s own teaching experience, the paper discusses the application of clue teaching method in junior middle school history class. It is mainly divided into five parts:The first part contains the summary of clue teaching method, it introduces the concept of history clue method definition and the classification of the historical clues.The second part discusses the advantages of the application of clue teaching method in junior middle school history class. Firstly, the clues teaching method helps to reflect the characteristics of the junior middle school history discipline, conform to the junior middle school history curriculum arrangement and the system of subject knowledge to teach.Secondly, it helps to raise students’ logical and divergent thinking ability.Thirdly, it helps to improve the efficiency of classroom teaching. Finally, it helps to achieve the educational function of history subject.The third part discusses the implementation strategies in junior middle school history teaching. It combines with the author’s teaching experience to introduce historical clues related skills, such as how to use textbooks, summarize the directory of refining; teach students to make timelines, mind mapping for clues. In addition, teachers must learn to use clues for specific teaching to strengthen the students’ basic knowledge, for example, to establish contacts with the help of geographical knowledge such as the historicity.The fourth part is about the reflection on the implementation of the teaching methods. It mainly discusses the clues to junior middle school history discipline teaching implementation process prone to problems and reflection.The fifth part is the conclusion, it emphasizes the advantages and teaching methods in junior middle school history class. It also talks about the author’s achievements in the implementation of clues teaching and future research work.
