The outbreak of a far-reaching impact on the Qian Jia miaomin uprising in Xiangxi in 1795". But in the past, many researches on this subject have been explored through the development and change of the cultural representation of folk customs, as well as some scholars through the simple text research. Many of these studies lack in-depth access to the actual life of the Miao people in communities or villages. In addition, ethnic identity change itself from the time point of view, its research scope is vertical, there is a historical process, so there is a very strong historical significance. Through field research of Qian Jia miaomin uprising headquarters Ping Cun Yun and access to a large number of historical documents, tries to explore Miao Nationality in Xiangxi Ethnic identity change process from the perspective of social change and the change of discourse system in nearly 200 years.Specifically, this article mainly includes the following parts: the first part is the introduction, mainly introduces the research origin, research significance, academic review, research content and field survey. The second part is the main body, which is divided into four chapters. The first chapter introduces the Xiangxi Miao early strongly the sense of ethnic identity, discusses the Qian Jia miaomin uprising after the rise to the Republic of Miao nationality region’s education system and the new elite class, and analysis of Han culture deeply of Miao nationality identity influence. The second chapter mainly introduces the in field study found that "seedling" to farmers’ subject status change, and on the basis of this discussion period to build the peasant class identity and significance of the founding of new China. In the third chapter, the current status of the Miao and the people from the behavior pattern is revealed, and it is not perfect. The third part is the conclusion part, summarizes the main research content of this paper, describes the status of the Xiangxi Miao ethnic identity and the historical process of the complex status.
