College students are the representatives of youth, the source of inspiring the social energy. With the implement of expanding admission policy, the fate of the college students, so called the favored one, has changed. Sagging economy has made the “hardest season to get employed” appeared more frequently; students are facing a employment pressure more serious than ever. Hunan province is a middle part of China with a huge amount of population; however, the education level is not outstanding, so the situation of the employment is not ideal, with more college graduates comes higher employment pressure. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze the employment pressure of Hunan college graduates. Besides, from the perspective of social environment, the pressure is caused by multiple objective environments, the research of the major environment factor effect the college graduates is meaningful and urgent, it relates to the happiness and benefits of graduates themselves, the basic requirements of families, the allocation of senior talents in China, even has influence on society stability and economy development.This research is adapted the occupational attainment theory and pressure theory, used the self written questionnaire 《The Pressure of College Graduates》for empirical research, aiming at the pressure issue of the college graduates in Hunan province. The author based on the analyses of current situation of college graduates’ employment pressure, combined related references with multiple linear regression to discuss the impact social environment and other dimensions on graduates pressure.Empirical research has revealed that, 1) college graduates employment pressure in Hunan province has shown an obvious group differences,(such as gender, urban or rural areas, social experiences, students leader or not, education degree and their colleges), 2) social environment has great influence on graduates employment pressure. Concretely speaking, with better social support environment, more ideal college cultivation patterns, and more reasonable expectations from parents, the employment pressures college graduates feel would be less. What’s more, the three dimensions of social environment and all their factors have various effects on the employment pressure.With profound analyses of the research results, this article comes up some suggestions from three perspectives of government, college and family: 1) perfect the new employment service system, strengthen the insurance of employment, 2) carry out the practical plan of leading startup, innovate the employment policy, 3) focus on inspire social energy, expanding the space of employment, 4) build a new training pattern for talents, strengthen the employment guidance, 5) establish a new concept of work values, raise job responsibilities.
