According to the need of construction socialist democratic and rules of law, it has been an irresistible trend to cultivate the modern significance and real citizens who have the spirit of democracy. To cultivate the real "DEMOCRATS", we should start to stress and earnestly implement from middle school education. Students in middle school are high-plasticity, because they haven’t taken shapes of their philosophy, value and world outlook. So it is very important to cultivate democratic consciousness of middle school students. It has practical significance to our socialist democracy. History, a social science, plays a very important role in cultivating the humanities quality of students. Also, it is a good platform because the course has so many materials showing the progress of human civilization and has its own advantage in cultivating students’ democratic consciousness. Therefore, we should make good use of history courses, teach Students in accordance of their aptitude and construct the courses into one of the position of cultivating students’ democratic consciousness.This thesis has studied some questions about cultivating socialist democracy in middle school history teaching. First of all, the article explained some nouns that are related to this thesis. Then, this article analyzed the importance of cultivating students’ socialist democracy; the current situation, the problems and the tendency. At last, this article proposed some strategies of cultivating students’ democratic consciousness.Besides the introduction and the epilogue, the whole thesis mainly divided into three chapters, more details are as follows:The first part is the explanation and the importance.The second part is about the current situation, the problems and the tendency.The last part proposed some thoughts about cultivating students’ democratic consciousness. First of all, this part defined the major objective of the cultivating. Then, it talked about some principles that should be followed in cultivating. Finally, it proposed some strategies of cultivating students’ democratic consciousness.
