As a new tool of thinking in the process of modern teaching, the mind mapping contains the learning theory, constructivism learning theory, constructivism learning theory, whole brain learning theory and schema theory. And it may change the linear thinking mode of the traditional learning.This paper begins with the purpose and significance of the mind mapping, and the significance of this study is determined from theory and practice. Moreover, the concept and types of the mind mapping are determined by various theories, some of which are combined with the objective cases in geography class. Through the study, the majority of teachers are not used to carrying out the mind mapping. So this paper will focus on the feasibility analysis of the application of mind map in the new curriculum reform in high school geography teaching. This focus includes both the principles, methods and steps that thought and the characteristics of the geographical knowledge which are suitable for the designed thinking. Next, the use and effect t will be discussed, so that more teachers can have confidence in the use of this kind of method, and more students will prefer to learn in this way.
