Geography as an important part of high school teaching, is a combination of geographyand geographic text images comprehensive discipline. The amount covers a wide range ofgeographic knowledge, the type of geographic image is also all-inclusive, how to easilyconstruct complex system of geographical knowledge, but also a clear interpretation ofgeography teaching of geography in the image became an important breakthrough. However,knowledge of the construction and interpretation of maps tend to make students unable to start,there is an urgent need for a way to help students understand and organize geographicknowledge tools.Mind Map as a thinking tool, divergent thinking people visualize the brain in the form oftext and images with the idea of a performance, with the expressed will of people like to think.Features mind map laid it can be applied to enhance the understanding of things, constructknowledge and memory of knowledge which, effectively improve people’s learning andmemory efficiency, facilitate people’s production and life.Currently, mind mapping application in a wide range of foreign, but seldom used in thecountry, most of them in teaching. Many primary schools, secondary schools and universitiesare trying to mind map with a combination of subject teaching, especially in Hong Kong,Macao and Taiwan regions, with particular emphasis on mind mapping application inteaching. Mind mapping as a cognitive tool that can effectively help teachers and studentslearn to master the correct method to create a systematic knowledge framework to promotecommunication and exchange between teachers and students, so that the whole teaching andlearning process more scientific, systematic and effective to improve learning efficiency.In this paper, the main research and study on the effects of mind mapping ability ofstudents to construct knowledge of geography teaching in high school, has a certaintheoretical and practical significance. I am in the teaching process, in order to developstudents ’ability to correctly and effectively construct knowledge of geography, the use ofmind maps in teaching research, try to use mind mapping to high school geography teaching,find and found to improve students’ ability to construct knowledge of geography effectiveway. The main idea of this paper are: first proposed research background and significance ofthis paper, describes current research for mind mapping, research shows that the purpose,content and methods. Secondly, the basis of the relevant concepts and theories in detail, tounderstand the concept and application of mind map, mind mapping proposed capacitybuilding knowledge of high school students have a certain impact. The third part presents the relevance and feasibility of improving the ability of students to construct knowledge on themind map and the ability of students to construct knowledge. The fourth part is the subject ofthis article, in part, a detailed study describes the steps to select and study, using two tests wayto prove the role of mind mapping to improve the ability of students to construct knowledge,and discusses the Mind Map used in the high school geography class teaching mode, clearlyshow how to use mind maps can be effective in helping students to construct knowledgesystem system, and then based on the results of statistical analysis of the data obtained, theconclusions drawn topic. Shortage exists in this study at the end I made a list here, andpropose solutions strategy and future direction of this study make prospects.
