To implement the quality education concept, improve the quality of compulsory education, the Ministry of Education promulgated and implemented the "compulsory education curriculum standard" in 2011.This means that the curriculum reform entered a new era.The usage of junior middle school physics textbook has relation to the implementation of the new curriculum concept. It also decides what the teachers will teach their students; cultivate what kind of abilities and what kind of emotional attitude and values. In a word, it decides what kind of people to cultivate. The compilation of junior middle school physics textbook reflects the scientific thinking, knowledge, methods and concept of physical foundation education. At the same time, it also points out the direction and path of basic education teaching. Therefore, studying the textbook is the need of the development of our own. It can also arouse more readers’ attention and provide some views for other teachers.In this paper, author based on more than three years’ education experience, combined with the mechanical parts of PEP Edition Physics textbook to contrast and research. And according to students’ receptivity, author put forward how to use the textbook creatively and optimize the junior middle school physics teaching, and the problems and reflection encountered in the process of using the textbook.
