Physics is a natural science based on experiments.Physics experiments can not only help students understand the knowledge,but also cultivate students' practical ability and raise the awareness of scientific inquiry,and increase their interest in learning physics.However,at present,our country does not pay enough attention to physics experiment teaching.Most teachers mainly use demonstration experiments or multimedia broadcast experiments during class.They rarely let students do experiments by themselves in the classroom.This makes it difficult to cultivate students' experimental operation ability and also leads to students loss of interest in learning physics.This research mainly studies the interesting experiments of mechanics in junior high school physics as follows: First,use the literature research method to clarify the significance,content and methods of the subject research,and sort out the research status and results of interesting small experiments in physics at home and abroad.Using interview method and questionnaire survey method to investigate and analyze the current situation of physics interesting experiments,the study finds that: most teachers rarely lead students to do experiments,but most students are very interested in interesting experiments.The main reasons for teachers' unwillingness to carry out experiments are as follows: the experimental equipment is complicated,the operation steps are complicated,the experimental effect is not obvious,and some equipment is expensive.Based on constructivist learning theory,need level theory,multiple intelligence theory,situational cognition and learning theory,the author proposes six elements for the design and development of carrying interesting experiments: safety,scientificity,intuitiveness,cheapness,participation,interest.And four experimental design and development strategies: simple equipment strategy,significant effect strategy,convenient operation strategy,and expansion extension strategy.Based on the principles and strategies,six experimental cases were designed and developed: "Floating Sinzi","Chopsticks Timing","Homemade Tumbler","Floating Eggs","Bottle Swallowing Eggs" and "Bottle Spraying Water",and practice them in the classroom.The fun little experiment enables students to learn mechanics knowledge and master the important and difficult of mechanics in the process of doing experiments on their own.In the process of experimental inquiry,it not only stimulated students' interest in learning physics,but also cultivated students' scientific inquiry spirit and practical ability.Classroom practice has achieved good results,also confirmed the effectiveness of principles and strategies,and explained the practical significance of interesting experimental research.Finally,according to the effect of teaching practice,the enlightenment for the interesting small experiment teaching of physical mechanics in junior high school,as well as the research deficiencies and reflections.
