While technology and economy are developing rapidly, while the international competition is more and more drastic, as a teacher, we have the responsibility to promote students’ comprehensive and healthy development, cultivate the students mind, enlighten students’ wisdom, develop their potential and nourish the students mind, design proper lessons according to children’s interest and demand. Therefore, kindergarten teachers also should have their professional skills, need to get new educational concepts, improve their comprehensive ability to knowledge by professional reading and teaching practice, which is to meet the requirement for develop themselves. However, from recent surveys, there is great difference between different teachers in reading. Therefore, this research is of value and can be used in practice.This paper’s investigation is based on Changshu’s 10 kindergartens together 300 teachers. Questionnaire and interview are made to analysis and conclude the current condition of kindergarten teachers and its reason. SPSS18.0 is used to analysis the data. All the methods is to conclude the current situation of teachers’ reading and its cause. It gives corresponding suggestions to the existing problem.According to the survey, most kindergarten teachers could fully realize the importance of professional reading, and can read some professional magazines and books every year. However, the purpose is materialistic, the method is free, the content is narrow and the habit is not formed. This research gives some management suggestions to improve government and teachers’ recognition of reading importance. It could help to improve the enthusiasm and efficiency, and also make them seek for fun in reading.
