For a long time, College Swimming training venues, equipment and qualified teachers and other factors constraints, training effect was not ideal, especially training idea and method of the lagging seriously restricted the scientific training level of ascension. Innovative training method, the introduction of the characteristics of swimming events and the actual situation of College Swimming training method, is the current college swimming training to be solved. The intermittent training method is a kind of sports training many training methods, at present in the track and field events training using is very extensive, and it is proved to be a capable of effectively improving the training effect, improve the ability of the athletes training methods. In the swimming exercise in Colleges and universities, the development of the intermittent training method is not optimistic, and the use of the intermittent training method in the training of College Students’ swimming athletes may be an important way to improve the training effect.This study adopts literature data method, experimental method, mathematical statistics and logical analysis and other research methods, according to the results of intermediate at home and abroad in recent years for swimming training, combined with the actual situation of College Students’ swimming athletes, select 20 college students in Guangdong College Swimming Training Team(male) swimming athletes as experimental objects, were randomly divided into experimental group and control group, respectively for 10 weeks of training, the control group using the traditional training method, the experimental group used the intermittent training method, before and after the experiment of measurement and comparison of biochemical, physical quality, sports technology and sports performance, to discuss the intermittent effect of training method to improve the effectiveness of College Swimming Training of athletes, and provide reference for the promotion of middle students swimming training interval training method, explore a method that can effectively improve the level of college students, improve the special training methods of swimming athletes.The results showed that before the experiment, two groups of college students physiological and biochemical indexes, special physical quality, special technology and motion results all have no significant differences, for a period of 2 months of training after the end of the experimental group and the control group students of the four aspects of the test content have varying degrees of increase, some indexes of the experiment there was a significant difference compared, but the experimental group of students to enhance the rate of the index test was significantly better than the control group. The results show that swimming project own characteristic determines the intermittent training method is very suitable for application in sports training, and characteristics of College Students’ swimming athletes also determines the application of intermission training method is feasible. Through before and after the experiment and the experimental group and the control group of college athletes physiological and biochemical indexes, special physical quality, special technology and special movement performance comparison shows that the intermittent training method can improve the respiratory system of university students, the function of cardiovascular system, to improve the students’ special physical fitness, improve the special technology and improve their athletic performance. In the future, the training method is proposed to carry out the training.
