Pysical education presents the quality of national citizens. College physical education is an important bridge connecting colleges and social physical education. The course is the basic way to realize the goal of college education. Physical education is a required course of students in colleges and a main way to spread sports knowledge. Sanda is the excellent cultural heritage of the Chinese nation and an important part of Chinese wushu. Sanda sports has the great value for college students, not only conforming to the physiological and psychological development stage characteristics of the college students, but also loved by the majority of the students. Sanda course is a component part of college sports, and is a main content of public sports course. Thus the popularity of Sanda in colleges and universities, can not only meet the demand of the development of the students, strengthening students’ physique, improving the self-defense ability, but also can be a very good inherit and carry forward Chinese traditional culture. According to the provision of the ministry of education, colleges and universities physical education teaching hours every school year should not be less than 144 hours, which provides a foundation for sanda course. In order to understand the current status of sanda course in colleges,this paper chooses 15% of Shi Jiazhuang colleges and universities, including 4 undergraduate colleges, 7 specialized college, 412 Sanda students, 11 Sanda teachers as the investigation object, using the literature material method, questionnaire survey method, mathematical statistics and expert interview method for study.According to the research in this paper, the following results are found: 1. among 15 colleges and universities in shijiazhuang investigation, 7 colleges don’t provide Sanda courses. The main reason is the lack of Sanda teachers, places and equipment. In college courses in sanda, Sanda periods is shorter. Compared with the basketball sports, extracurricular in form of sanda is obviously in a weaknesses. 2. Shijiazhuang college sanda teaching staff is weak, who just have few opportunities for re-education. Hiring part-time Sanda teachers is a temporary solution to sanda teaching. 3. The main channels for college students’ learning and understanding of sanda are the Internet and video data. The motivation of learning sanda is to improve the physical quality and self-defense ability. Nearly 50% Sanda students don’t excercise Sanda mainly because of the lack of places and equipment. 4. Shijiazhuang college sanda courses don’t unify the teaching material. The proportion of the theory and actual combat in teaching content and assessment contents is much smaller; the main reason for not satisfing with the sanda course is that the teaching content unattractive.Relevant countermeasures: 1. cultivate strong sanda teaching staff, standardly manage sanda part-time teachers; 2. integrating the teaching contents, reforms the examination way; 3, increase the college propaganda sanda sports, spread the positive energy of Sanda; 4. enrich sanda activities, provide the platform of practicing sanda; 5, attracts the attention from the school leadershipa, increase the input of Sanda teaching.
