Shaanxi Team Tennis Team In Colleges And Universities To Build The Evaluation Index System Construction And Empirical Research

Being the second most important sports, tennis becomes more and more popular after so many years. And college students and other tennis enthusiasts play an import ant role in making tennis more popular and become favorite sports of large populatio n in China. Shanxi province is well known for its higher education and the colleges a nd universities in the province build their own tennis team, including Xi’an architectur e and technology university and North West agricultural and forestry university. As a result, tennis becomes very popular among college students in Shanxi. But due to the fact that tennis sports starts relatively late compared with other provinces, so there are not many top players. The traditional policy and the way management works can’t no longer meet the needs of the modern tennis team. And it is imperative that a more eff ective and comprehensive evaluation system is set up specially for our province and fi nd the problem so we can improve.To achieve that, we interviewed top players and coaches and asked for advice. W e also look into it by visiting five universities including Xi’an physical education colle ge, Xi’an transportation university, Xi’an petroleum university, Xi’an architecture tech nology university, as well as Xi’an agricultural and forestry university, all of which ow ns higher levels tennis teams. By referencing earlier research using AHP, we came up with 20 key factors which have most influence on progress of tennis sports in higher education institutions. Among those, we sorted it out by evaluating each one and came up with below conclusion.First, tennis sports in higher education institutions in Shanxi province has gained lots of attention and popularity over the past decades. Although the truth is that we sti ll have a long way to go and catch up with other cities and provinces such as Shanghai, Beijing and Guangdong province. To do so, we need a highly effective and compreh ensive evaluation system set up specially for Shanxi, so we will achieve a lot more in tennis sports.Secondly, to build a system like this, we need to have a plan which includes Guid elines and objective, management system, facilities construction three in one indexes, Goals, human resources, performance evaluation, long term plan, short term goals, rec ruiting more people, train more coaches, daily trainings and so on. With the system, we have a better picture of our strengths and weaknesses, which will help us do a bett er job because we make good use of the strengths. Thirdly, we are able to use the system in two universities, Xi’an physical education institution and Xi’an transportation university. By evaluating both universities, we have shown that the system is highly effective and trust worthy.
