With the continuous development of society, the interpersonal contact has become more and more, the secondary vocational students is a special group, especially the secondary vocational students of ethnic minorities, although they can get one aspect of the skillsthrough the study of secondary phase, which can lay the foundation for their own development, but at the same time, many secondary vocational students fail to establish the strong learning foundation in primary school and junior high school stage, and in the secondary stage they do not pay attention to the cultivation of language communication ability, so after learning some basic skills, once they step into the society, they don’t know how to display and promote themselves, in the process of communicating with people they often appear to be ashamed or inarticulate,and some may even lose good jobs. So as a Chinese teacher,focusing on secondary vocational students’ oral communication ability is necessary. At present, we have achieved a lot in the study of oral communication teaching, but mostly in macroscopic research or for general secondary vocational students, there are rarely some achievement on special area of secondary vocational teaching situation, especially the secondary vocational students of ethnic minorities, because their research on oral communication teaching is blank.Therefore, this paper is from the point of oral communication teaching in the secondary vocational schools in multi-racial areas. It aims to study more effective methods about oral communication teaching in the secondary vocational schools in ethnic minority areas. This paper is divided into three parts, the first part discusses the oral communication inthe secondary vocational schools and the importance of cultivating the ability; in the second part it makes an investigation and analysisfrom the point of current situationof oral communication teaching in secondary vocational schools in multi-national areas, involving students,teachers and school management three aspects, and try to make great efforts to obtain first-hand information, which provide a foundation for the discussion of strategy for the third part; The third part mainly discusses effective methods of oral communication teaching in the secondary vocational schoolsin multi-national areas,including three aspects, they are using effective teaching methods, and practical training, familiar with the dialect slang for comparative teaching, buckling language characteristics of ethnic minorities, and teaching specifically.This paper tries to promote the effective teaching of oral communication in multi-racial regions through the research of present situation and the discussion effective methods in teaching.
