China and Thailand are close to each other geologically and enjoy similar cultural background and consanguinity. The “Chinese teaching volunteer project” cooperated by China and Thailand has been the focus and highlight of cultural communication. It also has profound significance to the development of Chinese teaching in Thailand. As one of the Chinese teaching volunteers to Thailand, I teach in Ratchaburi public Jeachai School managed by education committee of Thailand Ministry of Education, which locates at western area of Thailand and is the sole historical Chinese school. By my one year of practice and deep research, the article presents the current status of the Chinese teaching in the school, including report introduction, data analysis, problems of Chinese teaching of the school and teaching suggestions. Combined with teaching suggestions, the article prospects five parts of Chinese teaching of the school. Investigation modes are mainly questionnaire and sample interview. 125 structural questionnaires are sent out and 115 are returned. Interviewees are 11 Chinese teachers of the Chinese department in the school.First, combined with the investigation, the paper makes evaluation analysis to demands of students and teachers in Chinese teaching. Data analysis includes three aspects: basic condition of Chinese teaching, learning condition of students and teaching condition of teachers. Besides, the paper digs out potential problems in teaching process according to investigation reports and summary of practical teaching experience of several teachers. The purpose is to raise problems, analyze problems and come up with reasonable practical teaching suggestions. For major problems of Chinese teaching of the school, I come up with following suggestions for better development and establishment in the future: define teaching property of Chinese courses, improve proportions of side classes, increase consistency of Chinese teaching, make definite teaching program compatible with reality of the school, face learners’ demands, and adjust teaching modes. At last, combined with teaching suggestions, the paper prospects development of Chinese teaching of the school.The paper aims at providing concrete and detailed data reports for decision-making leaders and teaching implementers of Chinese department of the school, to comprehensively and carefully know and develop Chinese teaching work, leave reference data logistics and analysis for later volunteers. Because Chinese teaching and promotion is affected by national conditions and social environment of the area, it is difficult to apply existing teaching modes of other countries and areas. As a result, the research analyzes, summarizes and sums up the research data, provides reference for better consistent development of Chinese teaching in the school with specific conclusions and provides nationalized reference for oversea Chinese promotion.
