The implementation of the family planning policy has resulted in smaller family size, with less people and weaken supporting ability to raise the elders. Also, for this policy, the rate of no sons family has increased. For the rural daughters-only families, the security problems is more severe due to the special family structure and the traditional social organization.Based on the deep interview with daughters and senior family members from 12 daughters-only families in village S, this article investigated the status quo of endowment by daughters of different styles, and then concluded their special dilemma: the daughters-only endowment modal is unsustainable; the physical base is weak; raising by daughters is under the great pressure of the public opinion. This article analyzed the necessity of social support for daughters-only endowment modal by using social support theory. The research explored the problems existed in the modal by analyzing both the formal and informal support they have received. In the respect of informal support, the informal care is unstable and random with incomplete secure function. The mates support tends to be significant while the responsibility of their offspring is relatively weaken. The psychology burden and financial burden are increasing. In the respect of formal support, support from government is insufficient which is unable to meet the needs of senior nursing; community support form is simple; community-based caring is little;The NGOs lack sufficient money and the low socialization level. According to the characteristic and problems of daughters-only endowment modal, this article proposed suggestions and solutions for the social support problems from several aspects: the government, the community in rural areas, the daughters themselves and the judicial intervention and so on.
