Research On Ye Shengtao’s Educational Thought About Reading In “Kai Ming Guo Yu Textbook”

Ye Shengtao is a famous Chinese educator. His thoughts about Chinese education has a great influence on Chinese language curriculum.After the curriculum reformation, people began to reflect on his educational thoughts and made some difference, especially in reading teaching thoughts. Researching the“reading teaching thoughts”in“Kai Ming Guo Yu textbook” is helpful to relearn its value, direct reading teaching in class, improve students’ reading ability and lay the foundation for students’ comprehensive development.“Kai Ming Guo Yu textbook”is an exquisite teaching material compiled by Ye Shengtao. When he writing these books, he used vernacular Chinese. And there are different types of reading material, including letter and prose.The content are humanities and natural science which originating from student’s life. I will take it as an example to analysis and reconsider Mr Ye’s educational thought on reading. In order to better inherit Mr Ye’s educational idea on reading and accelerate reading instruction to keep pace with the times, to recognize the instrumentality and adaptability with society,run through the relationship among reading, writing and the teaching method which via sentence by sentence to explain is necessary in his educational ideology under the background of the new curriculum reformation.
