The hope of education is closely linked with teachers. Paying more attention to the living conditions of teachers is the most fundamental concern about education. Teaching is an admirable and respectable profession, for teachers shoulder the great responsibility of educating people and cultivating talents for the country. However, the happiness of teaching profession is being “stolen”. Varying degrees of job burnout and physical and mental problems emerge among many teachers, which exert different influences on current education. Therefore, it is very necessary to carry out researches on teachers’ vocational happiness.Firstly, this thesis adopts the methods of questionnaire and structural interview to research the general situation and influential factors of vocational happiness of senior high school teachers in rural area. The author discusses it from the perspective of internal and external factors respectively, and draws the conclusion that 38.4% senior high school teachers in rural area cannot or rarely experience the vocational happiness. On the contrary, there are 28.2% teachers can experience it. While 26.3% teachers are not sure whether they can. Therefore, through the overall comparative analysis, the general condition of vocational happiness of senior high school teachers in rural area is of great concern, and there are no significant differences on vocational happiness in the aspect of genders, job titles and so on. While, there are significant difference on ages and years’ teaching experience.Then, through the correlation analysis of general condition of senior high school teachers in rural areas and the internal and external influential factors, the author draws the conclusion that the general vocational happiness of senior high school teachers in rural area are significantly related to salary, working environment, pressure, physical condition, work feelings and so on, only with different degrees of correlation.Finally, combining with the internal and external influential factors of vocational happiness of senior high school teachers in rural areas, the author proposes effective strategies on it from self-actualization, feelings for work and health condition of internal influential factors and from remuneration and work pressure of external supporting factors, respectively.
