Early reading is an essential part of language education in kindergarten,it plays an pivotal position in the process of children’ s language development.Early reading activities can not only improve children’ s transformation ability from spoken English to written English,but also help children learn about the rich scientific and cultural knowledge, feel all kinds of experience in life,enrich the imagination of children, deepen the emotional experience and promote the development of children in the aspect of social life.The author chooses some classes from five representative kindergarten in Guiyang(Guizhou Normal University Affiliated Kindergarten,Guiyang Number Six Kindergarten,Guiyang Center Experimental Kindergarten,Zhongtian Kindergarten and Gaopuo Town Center Kindergarten)to do the research. The early reading activities’ present situation of the kindergartens in Guiyang was studied from the reading goal of early reading,the arrangement of reading content,the method of reading,the source and use of the reading material etc. The author also analyzes the factors about condition of preschool teachers, teacher education teaching idea, teacher training, teacher’s professional quality, the material condition of the kindergarten, and the parents’ support for children’ s reading activities etc. and then put forward some corresponding countermeasures of kindergarten early reading activities.The study is composed of four parts. The first part introduces the research questions, the research purpose and significance,the literature review, the research design and the definition of some concepts.The second part mainly analyzes the present situation of early reading activities in kindergarten.The third part discusses reasons of the questions.The fourth part is to put forward some corresponding suggestions on the basis of discussion and analysis.
