Status Investigation Study For Middle Schools’ Sexual And Reproductive Health Education

As a part of the human reproductive health, middle school students’ reproductive health is very important for themselves, families, society and even the whole country. They have the right to obtain sexual and reproductive health education. Also, the school has the obligation to provide this kind education for them. Sexual and reproductive health education in schools is not only a prerequisite for middle school students’ health, but also a very important cornerstone for a country’s health.This thesis has tried to find out the current situation of middle school’s sexual and reproductive health education in Shizuishan of Huinong District, Ningxia, by using anonymous questionnaires, aiming to analyze the present situation and try to give some suggestions to effectively promote sexual and reproductive health education in schools.Results of the inquiry show that the current situation of this problem in Huinong is not optimistic. Main facts are as follows:the schools did not pay enough attention to sexual and reproductive health education; teachers and students don’t know much about knowledge of sexual and reproductive health; it is rare for teachers to conduct sexual and reproductive health education in their classes.Based on the deep analysis about the phenomenon of the middle school students’ sexual and reproductive health education in the area of Huinong, this paper puts forward a strategy to improve and mend the statements mentioned above:taking a correct attitude towards sexual and reproductive health education; providing sexual and reproductive health training for teachers; combing sexual and reproductive health education with academic subjects; pooling social resources to set up a platform for teachers and students to obtain sexual and reproductive health education; seeking other advocates.
