Since the 1980s, along with the rapid development of China’s economy, especially in the current development of urbanization, the emergence of large-scale rural surplus labor. In order to pursue higher income and better living conditions, more and more rural surplus labor migrant. In these migrant workers, there has been a considerable part of parents, these parents pressured the city to survive, as well as the high cost of living in urban children, education and training fees for many reasons, the children had to stay in the countryside, rural children left behind--this particular increasingly large groups of children. Survival and development of children left behind in rural areas is a social phenomenon in our society can not be avoided at this stage of the transition period. Since 2007 in order to identify the implementation of Fujian Rural Children relevant policies, laws and regulations as well as the discovery of new cases occur in rural left-behind children, new problems, leading Fujian Province Women’s Federation, the Provincial PTAs, Fujian Normal University, College of Education and other departments by, composed of experts in 2014 the research team once again, based on follow-up investigation of the background of the town on the rural left-behind children’s issues. Through questionnaires, empirical research methods Interview Survey, Case Analysis and other front line to collect first-hand information as comprehensive as possible. Describes the main problems of rural left-behind child survival and development in the presence of Fujian Province, and based on the analysis of the causes of the problem, from the community, school, family three levels propose solutions to the problem of left-behind children in rural coping strategies.
