Picture books are those books that pictures and words tell a complete story together and pictures in the picture books have independent meaning, not the vassal of words. Reading picture books can promote the development of children’s cognition (including language, imagination, the way of thinking etc), aesthetic and artistic ability, sociability, affection etc. Thus, kindergartens carry out a large number of picture book teaching activities in recent years and currently collective teaching is an important form for kindergartens to organize picture book teaching activities. This study conducts a research on picture book collective teaching activities’ current situation and its existing problems to facilitate the practice of picture book collective teaching activities to be carried out effectually and earnestly. This study takes a kindergarten of Fuzhou as an example, mainly adopting literature, observation, interview and text analysis, to conduct a research on picture book collective teaching activities’ current situation and its existing problems from three aspects, that is activity target, activity content and activity implementation. In the end, some educational suggestions will be put forward.
