Survey Of Jianning Primary School English Teaching And Suggestions

According to the "primary school English curriculum standard",the overall goal of English Teaching in basic education stage is to cultivate the students’ comprehensive ability of using language. At the request of it, local primary schools have classroom teaching mode reformed. However, compared with the urban primary school English teaching, the one in mountain areas faces many "deficiencies."Then, whether the mountain ones can implement the teaching philosophy and requirements of "new class" in daily teaching? How is their practice? For that reason, This study takes current primary school English teaching in Sanming City Jianning county(mountain) as the main research contents, selecting its full-time English teacher and 4- 6 grade students from urban and rural areas as the main research object, doing a survey of Jianning County Primary School English teaching by questionnaire, interview and observation.According to the survey, we find out the main problems and their causes, in view of which, to reveal the truth that language should return the tool to nature humanities, and finally propose feasible spiritual recommendations in line with "new class" from two aspects of school management and teaching.
