With the development of science and technology, the economic andcultural communication among different countries in the world becomesmore and more frequent. There is no doubt that English, the most widelyused lauguage of diffrent countries and regions, has become an internationallanguage.Since1978, English teaching in China, which completed the processfrom moving forword through twists and turns to orderly development, hasachieved great accomplishment. The long term existent condition of dumband deaf English has also been improved. With the development of Englishteaching, we are required to take it as a communicative language teachingand learning, English must be taught and learned as a communicativelauguage, which requires more attention to the training of listening andspeaking ability in the initial stage of learning.With less mental pressure andbetter iminative ability, those lively elementary school children have moreadvantages in pronuanciation and oral English learning than adults.Education practice of diffrent countries proved that lauguage educationshould be started at childrens’early age.Therefor, it is extremly important toattach great importance to primary school English education.This paper focuses on the present situation of primary English teachingin Dongsheng District,Erdos. In order to provide refrences to the reform andresearch of primary English education and teaching in DongshengDistrict,Erdos, a questionnaire survey has been conducted among someparents, teachers and students of all primary school here, main problemsexisting in primary English teaching has been analysed and solutions to thoseproblems has also been proposed throgh combing with the author’s researchon the teaching practice.
