With the development of computer networks information technology, Web-based learning becomes a new way of learning. For current web-based learning, the main type of online exercises is still multiple-choice, especially for the mathematics of junior middle school. Because of limitation of network which differs from human’s consciousness, mathematical solving and proving problems rarely appear in network testing. In addition, the evaluation of web-based learning plays a key role in the student learning feedback and the teachers as a reference. Nowadays, web-based learning evaluation uses mainly the traditional linear score and weighted average method, which only pays attention to the results of learning, while ignoring the process. According to the two questions above, the thesis mainly studies the learning style of the problems solving for junior high school, and also the students’ comprehensive ability from two aspects of the process and results. The main contents of this thesis are as follows:First, the thesis introduces several cognitive models and evaluation methods, especially the theoretical knowledge of the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method in detail. These introductions are to make the readers fully understand the relevant theories and techniques.Second, depending on the different relationship between the learner and the learning objects, the thesis studies three basic cognitive models. And with the characteristics of web-based learning, this thesis chooses a proper model for cognitive learning. Based on the model, the questions are structured into XML format, on which the learners do interacts. In addition, this thesis studies the evaluation method of the system in detail. The traditional learning evaluation methods are improved, which is for the evaluation of knowledge and questions. We also use the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method to evaluate the students’ comprehensive abilities. The evaluation index can be divided into quantitative and non-quantitative indexes. The quantitative indexes include knowledge, questions and homework performance. The non-quantitative indexes include users’ online time, logins, times of resource download and questions answered. And AHP is used to determine the weight of these evaluation indexes. Then, according to the evaluation methods and JSP technology, the thesis designs and implements the leaning system based on cognitive model. The system is mainly for two kinds of users, teachers and students. The functions of the system include pretreatment of exercises, students’ cognitive learning, resource management, interaction Q & A, homework, library and evaluation & analysis modules. Finally, the thesis tests the system by simulating a class of students and teacher. We get the results of the comprehensive evaluation with the evaluation algorithm by operating the students’ raw data generated by the system. By analyzing the evaluation results with the charts, the effectiveness and feasibility of the algorithm is verified and the deficiencies which need to be improved are found out.
