Advances in wireless sensor technology, context aware technology andubiquitous computing technology have promoted the development of context-awareubiquitous learning (CAUL). This new way of learning witha new communication mechanism and abundant learning resources, provides goodautonomous learning environment for learners. However, scholars have questionedwhether every learners can adapt and benefit from this new way of learning. How toevaluate the context-aware ubiquitous learning scientific and effective, becomes animportant issue in front of the researchers. Context-aware ubiquitous learningemphasizes the support by means of advanced learning technology, interaction withreal learning objects actively and self-construct knowledge, which is very differentfrom the traditional teaching mode. For context-aware ubiquitous learning evaluation, both classroom teaching evaluation method or network evaluation methods are notapplicable. At present, there has still not a scientific and complete evaluation systemfor this new way of learning, so in this paper, a more in-depth studyon context-aware ubiquitous learning evaluation system is drawn.Firstly, the characteristics of context-aware ubiquitous learning are analyzed, referenced the network learning and the mobile learning evaluation index set andformulated the evaluation index system of context-aware ubiquitous learning. Then,we analyzed and compared the advantages and disadvantages of the subjectiveweighting method and the objective weighting method, and decided to adopt theobjective and subjective synthetic approach which combine the analytic hierarchyprocess and principal component analysis to assign a value for the index weight. Moreover, we analyzed and considered that there is great fuzziness incontext-aware ubiquitous learning evaluation itself and build the evaluation modelbased on fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method, which provides a researchstrategy for the evaluation of context-aware ubiquitous learning in the future. In theend, designed and realize an evaluation system of context-aware ubiquitous learning. The main research and innovation in this paper include the following aspects:First, a complete evaluation index system is developed after we have studiedthe current situation of context-aware ubiquitous learning and its evaluation, analyzed the related evaluation theory and views of educational evaluation, andcombined with the characteristic of the learning. Especially the dimensions, criteria, and weights of the index system are being studied in deeply.Second, in order to achieve the objective and comprehensive evaluation, thesetting of the index weight used the subjective and objective method is put forward, based on the analytic hierarchy process and principal component analysis method.Third, since the evaluation between individuals differ in thousands of ways, evaluation factors are constantly changing, and the education evaluation is fuzzy, anyevaluation decision must be integrated into a number of relevant factors.Considering these reasons, the learning evaluation model based on the fuzzycomprehensive evaluation method is constructed. Finally, integrated the PHP technology, MySQL database technology andApache server technology, the evaluation system of the context-aware ubiquitouslearning is designed and implemented, in which the dataacquisition, processing, comprehensive evaluation and feedback are implementedand provided. This research will be surely a valuable and significant attempt at the applicationof fuzzy comprehensive evaluation in context-aware ubiquitous learning evaluation. Our work provides some directive action for context-aware ubiquitous learningevaluation, design and improvement.
