Self-regulated learning is inevitable requirement of realizing quality education and individual lifelong learning. The students’ initiative, confidence and willpower can be strengthened and made good study quality for students by self-regulated learning.However,the influence of economic level and traditional ideas, the extracurricular chemistry self-regulated learning level of the rural high school students is generally low, which limits the overall development of rural high school chemistry education in some extent.Therefore, improving the condition of rural high school students extracurricular chemistry self-regulated learning is an urgent task.This study is done by the questionnaire survey to learn situation of extracurricular chemistry self-regulated learning from learning motivation, learning strategy, learning resources, learning process and learning result of 540 students who come from Fengqiu first high school of Henan,and analyzes the influence of the different gender, character, chemical score, grade, class types and the family type to extracurricular chemistry self-regulated learning. The main research conclusion as follows:1. The current rural high school students extracurricular chemistry self-regulated learning are relatively low on the whole and each dimension.2. Different mark students appeared significant difference on the extracurricular self-regulated learning.The fail students are poor performance in the learning motivation, learning strategy, learning resources and learning outcomes.3. Different grade students exist significant differences in learning results and overall extracurricular chemistry elf-regulated learning. Fresh students of high middle school is relatively weak in extracurricular chemistry self-regulated learning.4. Different class students are significant differences in all dimensions and overall extracurricular self-regulated learning.The students of key class and the less key class is better than the regular class students in learning strategy, learning resources, learning results and overall performance.5. There is no significant correlation for students of different gender, character, family type in various dimensions and entirety of extracurricular chemistry self-regulated learning.Based on the above research, some guiding strategies are set for rural high school students in extracurricular chemistry self-regulated learning, such as pinpointing learning goals, stimulating learning motivation and enhancing the use of self-regulated learning strategy, making full use of learning resources, strengthening the regulation and control of emotion and learning evaluation from multiple perspectives.The study can help society more deeply understanding extracurricular chemistry self-regulated learning in rural high school students.Corresponding countermeasures contribute to the improvement of extracurricular chemistry self-regulated learning current situation of rural high school students.
