This paper mainly discusses the elementary school principal professional development and training of Yanji city. In February 2013 issued compulsory education school principals professional standards of elementary school principals professional understanding, professional knowledge, professional ability put forward new requirements; The national medium and long-term education reform and development plan outline (2010-2020), also explicitly emphasize strengthen the principal training, promote the principal specialization, improve the level of the principal management, strict teacher qualifications, improve teachers’ quality.Promote the principal professional development, make the principal step by step to achieve professional standards, must want to have a good system construction and the headmaster training work, the principal training as an important platform, improve the principal professional development training quality and effect is becoming more and more attention, which made of elementary school principals training work put forward higher requirements.In this paper, the principal law basic theory, school effectiveness theory, the principal professional development theory, human resources development theory, using literature method, questionnaire method and interview method to study, to Yanji city and township primary school principals as the research object, by issuing the self-made questionnaire of Yanji primary school headmaster training problems and countermeasures research survey, research elementary school principal professional development present situation; Elementary school principals training status; Elementary school, the relationship between the principal and the principal professional development training through the research results indicate that, put forward effective countermeasures to improve elementary school principals training.Through analysis and discussion of the result of the investigation and study, this study finally form the following five conclusions:(1) elementary school principal professional development at a good level, but in planning the school development, build the culture of education, leading teaching aspects need to further improve the villages and towns school long professional development; (2) the elementary school principal to principal training management, training evaluation, training methods, training content etc. Satisfaction at the general level, training ways can’t satisfy the township primary school long demand; (3) plays a significant role in elementary school principals training of elementary school principal professional development, strengthen the headmaster training will improve the elementary school principal professional development; (4) the marked effects of elementary school principals training headmaster training planning, the principal training needs research, the principal training research mechanism and the influence of the education administrative departments, etc.Based on the above conclusion, Suggestions are as follows:to establish more platform for rural elementary school principals, further promote rural elementary school principal professional development; In a variety of training methods as the carrier, meet the demand of rural elementary school principals training; With the principal professional development needs, strengthen training research; Listen to various opinions, effectively making training plan; To strengthen the training management, further strengthen training research; To further improve the training evaluation mechanism, prompted the training development effectively; Coordinated regional ethnic colleges and universities, construct the training of the new situation.
